Hi there! Thanks very much for taking the time to visit my website. I've lived here in northwestern Wisconsin since 1979 and have developed quite an appreciation over the years for the scenery of this area. The many moods of Lake Superior, the ships, forests, streams, wildlife and sometimes crazy skies make for some very compelling photographic subjects. In 1980, at age 10, I sat down in front of an Apple II computer for the first time and was completely captivated. I knew right then and there that computers would play a preeminent role in my career. In 1999, I had a similar experience when I first laid hands on a digital camera; a Sony Mavica that recorded images on 3.5" floppy discs. I'd never been all that interested in photography before, but the marriage of camera and computer started me on the way to looking at the world in a new way.
Since those days, camera technology has progressed by leaps and bounds, and I became more serious about this hobby around the year 2001. I've attended photo workshops led by photographers such as Jonathan Blair, Moose Peterson, Vincent Versace, and Dave Black to help develop my photographic eye. I've also had several shows around the Twin Ports, including "Verily Vernal" and "Elements". (Links to local media coverage)
